Howdy! My name is JF (well not really, but we'll say it is :D). I think I'm a quiet person, but I like to express my views sometimes pretty forcefully and I am quite sarcastic and I also have a bad temper. I blame the red hair. :P I like a lot of things, especially The Lord of the Rings films and older movies and classic movie stars. I am passionate about the things I am interested in. I enjoy history, especially American history and I am fascinated by the American Civil War and the West. I have always loved watching westerns, and I like learning about real Western events and figures. Doc Holliday is my favourite figure in American history. He is just one hell of a character. I also like American politics. And yes, The West Wing is one of my favourite shows. :D I need to visit New York one day. I have seen too many images of that city, and I really want to go! I love Broadway and West End musicals and I like listening to as many as I can, and collecting current and older Playbills and programmes. I also collect autographs, as in I write to people rather than buy them. The older classic actors are the ones I have that I love the most, although Sir Ian McKellen is a special favourite! I also like my signed playbills. The best letter I will never get the chance to write, would be to Jerry Orbach. I adore that man. TV, film and Broadway Star. He had it all. And obviously, I like to take photographs as much as I possibly can. I do try and improve each time. It doesn't always happen but try is the key word here.

When I first joined DA, 100 pageviews seemed a lot. 1,000 seemed impossible and 5,000 was never meant for me. 4,000 is incredible for someone who has such a mish-mash of a gallery - I am proud of some of my work but others I look back and wonder why I didn't do better - and also someone who spent a lot of time away from DA and put little or no energy into commenting on other people's work and just basically enjoying all that DA had to offer. You have to give sometimes as well as receive. So thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, whether it is my friends, my watchers, those who have inspired me, the people who commented or like

So after the longer hiatus then I expceted, I is back on DA. I have been so busy since February, mainly trying to lose weight [hahahah] and spending time getting the garden nice and weed free and ready for the summer. I am winning the latter battle at least. XD It's really nice to see all the plants I put in last year, coming up after surviving a really bad winter. And also all the bulbs I broke my back bending over to plant, they're coming up fine. The tulips and daffodils are blooming and my beloved alliums are starting to grow. So all is well in the garden. And in just over a week we have

Wow, what a good week this has been! It's been so long since I've been really keen to take pictures, and it's all thanks to you guys!
I've been really inspired by the people who kept visitng and commenting while I was away and the great art I was seeing.
I would really like to thank so many of you for continuing to do so, and for helping me to reach 3,000+ pageviews!
Sorry I have been spamming y'all with so many pictures and resources, although with the Winter Olympics around the corner, I think I can promise you a rest.
